Reading God’s Word:  2 Corinthians 12-13; Psalm 76

Memorizing God’s Word: Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Meditating on God’s Word: 2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, your word is truth. But this is hard. Help me live this paradox. Help me cast off my wisdom and understand that you have chosen the foolish things of this world to shame the wise. Jesus, let me follow your pattern of a complete emptying out of your power so true power could be displayed in what the world saw as weakness. Allow my love to be a cruciform love. One that is willing to be stripped of all I am so I no longer live. So, your image and your love can resurrect through me and that all may know who you are. Amen.”
