Reading God’s Word: Luke 19:28–44, Psalm 15

Memorizing God’s Word: Luke 19:10, For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.

Meditating on God’s Word: Luke 19:41, As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over It and said, “If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring you peace – but now It Is hidden from your eyes.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, do you ever weep over your children? Maybe not with tears, but disappointment, or sadness, for how blind we can be? You want what Is best for us, which brings glory to you and peace into the deepest parts of our lives, but we are prone to “go astray” (Isaiah 53:6). Sadly, we can miss the best you have for us. We need you, Lord! May a thirst after righteousness set us on the right path – the everlasting way (Psalm 139:23-24). Amen.”
