Reading God’s Word: John 12:12-19; Psalm 60
Memorizing God’s Word: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Meditating on God’s Word: John 12:19, So the Pharisees said to one another, “See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him!” Psalm 60:11-12, Give us aid against the enemy, for human help is worthless. With God we will gain the victory, and he will trample down our enemies.”
Praying God’s Word: “Lord God, as Jesus entered Jerusalem to fulfill prophecy, the enemy was inciting his subjects to rage over their powerless position and yet they were far from giving up. This same enemy is at work in our world and even though Jesus has gone far and wide to the ends of the earth, Satan is doubling effort to destroy the faithful message and the obedient messenger. Give us aid, we look to You alone! In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
