Reading God’s Word: Hebrews 7; Psalm 125
Memorizing God’s Word: For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
Meditating on God’s Word: Hebrews 7:25 (LSB)Therefore He is able also to save forever those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
Praying God’s Word: “Father, one of the great truths in our meditation today is that Christ is an eternal high priest who makes intercession for us. His priesthood and intercessory work is able to forever save those who draw near to You, as He never changes, and His priesthood will never end. That is something that was missing in the Old Covenant in which the work of a high priest was temporary due to their death. Christ is not like that. His work as our high priest is eternal. Thank you for such a high priest as Christ who is able to eternally accomplish our redemption. Amen.”
