Reading God’s Word: Mark 8:27–30; Psalm 88:1-9
Memorizing God’s Word: Mark 8:34, Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.
Meditating on God’s Word: Mark 8:29, But what about you? he asked. Who do you say I am?
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I visualize this casual conversation between you and Peter. No crowds, no place of worship and no religious practices. Just walking and talking. This is where our authentic relationship with you is exposed. No group to impress, no worship box to check and no rules to follow. Just you and me. So, who do I say you are in these moments? Who do I say you are when my soul is full of trouble? Who do I say you are when I am riding the high wave of joy? I may change, but you do not (Hebrews 13:8). May I be steadfast and grounded, knowing that my circumstances may change but my relationship with you will not. Amen.”
