Reading God’s Word: Numbers 22-24, Psalm 88
Memorizing God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 10:31, So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Meditating on God’s Word: Numbers 23:8,12, How can I curse those whom God has not cursed? How can I denounce those whom the Lord has not denounced? Must I not speak what the Lord puts in my mouth?
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I think about the many times I have wrestled with you about something important to me asking, “What should I do?” Sometimes not liking your answer and other times grateful for clarity. Sometimes not listening, even though you were clear, and other times motionless until I was absolutely certain you were providing guidance. It has been a mixture for sure and I regret that there have been times when I insisted on my way, or I was too weak to say “no.” Adversity emerges, when I am removed from the center of your will. I have learned, and I am still learning, to live in a posture of surrender. My hands are open wide toward you today, Lord. Amen.”
