Reading God’s Word:  Deuteronomy 31:30-33:29; Psalm 116

Memorizing God’s Word: Psalm 119:9,11 How can a young person stay on the path of purity. By living according to your word. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Meditating on God’s Word: Deuteronomy 32:43, “Rejoice, you nations, with his people, for he will avenge the blood of his servants, he will take vengeance on his enemies and make atonement for his land and people.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, why do You call the nations to rejoice at the thought of Your vengeance? What role does bloodshed play in Your plan to pour out blessing on the nations through Israel? Is it not at the cross of Jesus Christ? Your wrath was satisfied with the death of Your Son in the place of me, Your enemy. You were pleased to look on His blood and count it toward the unpayable debt that I owed on account of my sin. And so now I, born thousands of years after the fact, living in a nation unknown to the writer of this book, I rejoice because there was a day when in vengeance You struck a final blow to sin, death, and Satan and made atonement with Your death for us. Thank You, Jesus! Amen.”
