Reading God’s Word: Ephesians 5:1-20; Psalm 148
Memorizing God’s Word: Ephesians 4:15 (NLT) Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church.
Meditating on God’s Word: Ephesians 5:1-2, “Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.”
Praying God’s Word “Lord, what an example You have set for us! Your love was demonstrated in this way, that while we were still sinners, You died for us. Not only did Your death accomplish my salvation, but it also set my example—I too am called to walk in the way of this radical, sacrificial, others-centered kind of love. So today, let me seek not so much to be served, but to serve. Let me seek not so much to get my way, but to look toward the interests of others. Let me leave behind the way of self-centered love, and walk in the way of love displayed in Christ. Amen.”
