Reading God’s Word: Matthew 26:1-5; Psalm 58

Memorizing God’s Word: James 1:19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 58:1-2 “Do you rulers indeed speak justly? Do you judge people with equity? No, in your heart you devise injustice, and your hands mete out violence on the earth.”

Praying God’s Word “Lord Jesus, Caiaphas lived out these words from the Psalmist when he and the leaders plotted against you. And yet, how do you view me? Do I speak justly? Do I make fair judgements of others? Jesus examines what is devised in my heart. Cleanse me so I can have a heart like yours: surrendered, broken, humble, filled with love & compassion. Amen.”
