Reading God’s Word: 1 Kings 16:21-17:24, Psalm 13

Memorizing God’s Word: Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 13:5-6, I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the Lord, he has been good to me.

Praying God’s Word “Lord, there are times when we are waiting, with unknowns as a constant companion. We may not be thirsty, but our souls experience drought. We may not be hungry, but we crave nourishment. During these times are we paralyzed with fear and doubt, or deepened by an unwavering trust and reliance upon you? Sometimes I cry out with the Psalmist, ‘How long . . . ?’ I know you faithfully provide, but often it is not what I expect or within my time frame. You are working all things for my good and although I may not fully understand, I know it is true! Amen.”
