Memorizing God’s Word: Lamentations 3:22-23 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 37:8 Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.

Praying God’s Word “Lord, there is a rage within this world. There is a worry beyond reason and a depression laying like a thick snow on the rooftops of so many hearts. I feel its bony fingers stretch out for me. I can hear its voice slithering around my mind. Calling me to talk back, strike back, turn back. Jesus, I need you. I need the Spirit that guided you to love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfullness, gentleness and self-control. So, I turn from the foaming anger. I turn from the weariness of worry and all the evil that brings. I turn and look full into your face. The face of pure love. Love that is patient and kind. The love that never fails. I turn to you. Amen.”
