Reading God’s Word: Catch-Up Day

Advent Reading: Isaiah 40:1-9

Previewing 1 John 1-3; Jude

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 Peter 1:15-16 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”

Meditating on God’s Word:  Isaiah 40:8 The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of God endures forever.

Praying God’s Word “Lord, No matter how I look, how I act, or what I do, let me never forget that I am a sinner. I am not worthy of your love, and certainly not deserving of heaven. You are holy, and I am not. Your Word, and your character never change. You are pure and holy. But you promise in your Word that my sins can be washed away by the blood of Christ, and you will cast them into the sea of your forgetfulness, remembering them no more against me. No one else has ever loved me like that, so I pray, “Take my life and let it be, consecrated Lord to Thee.” Amen.”
