Reading God’s Word: 2 Chronicles 3:1-5:1, Psalm 55

Memorizing God’s Word: James 1:19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 55:1Listen to my prayer, O God, do not ignore my plea.

Praying God’s Word: Lord, we sometimes feel that we need to ask you to listen to us when we pray. We wonder if you are there for us. Forgive us for those thoughts, those doubts. Remind us in our time of need that your ears are always open to the cries and requests of your children. You invite us to cast all our cares upon you. You invite us to come to you when we are weary and heavy-laden. As Verse 22 promises, “Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you.” Thank you for being a good and gracious Father. We love you because you first loved us. Amen.
