Reading God’s Word: Acts 14:1-16:5; Psalm 33

Memorizing God’s Word: Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Meditating on God’s Word: Acts 14:21-22 “They preached the gospel in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. ‘We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,’ they said.”

Praying God’s Word “Lord Jesus, it’s incredible to think that Paul would lead the charge to go back to places where he’d previously been stoned nearly to death!  This mission statement of hardship being a pathway to the kingdom is just as true today as it was then.  Help me to embrace difficulty as You did Jesus – with purpose, courage and joy, Amen.”
