Reading God’s Word: Ezra 7-8; Psalm 78
Memorizing God’s Word: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Meditating on God’s Word: Ezra 7:10 ESV “For Ezra had set his heart to study the Law of the Lord, and to do it and to teach his statutes and rules in Israel.”
Praying God’s Word: “God, if I could have my life summarized in one sentence, this would be it: Ezra studied the scriptures, lived the scriptures, and taught the scriptures to others. He had set his heart upon these three things, and changed the course of history for an entire nation. What an incredible legacy! One that I am called to as well. The Word of God lived out in someone’s life is the most convincing translation the world will ever read, and how desperately the world needs your Word lived out. Help me to follow Ezra’s example, I pray. Amen.”
