Reading God’s Word: John 12:20-36; Psalm 61

Memorizing God’s Word: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

Meditating on God’s Word: John 12:20-22, “Now there were some Greeks among those who went up to worship at the festival. They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, with a request. “Sir,” they said, “we would like to see Jesus.” Philip went to tell Andrew; Andrew and Philip in turn told Jesus.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord Jesus, what a cool picture of how you draw people to yourself! Outsiders (Greeks) come to see Jesus (those Paul would journey to) and they ask a follower to see Him.  That follower takes another and goes to Jesus with the request.  Who are the outsiders in our cities asking to see Jesus? If we don’t know, perhaps we need to widen our circle of friendship! Who am I praying for and praying with for these outsiders?  Jesus may we bring people to you continually in prayer! These Greeks got not only Jesus, but the voice of the Father!  Move in unexpected ways for all who surround and seek you Jesus, Amen.”
