Reading God’s Word: Luke 9:28-43; Psalm 133

Memorizing God’s Word: James 1:22 Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.

Meditating on God’s Word: Luke 9:29 As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.

Praying God’s Word: “Jesus! How brilliant, how beautiful, how holy you are! Your glory may have been veiled in flesh, but not for a second did you lose your deity. Fully man, fully God, our perfect Mediator. And in this verse, we see what Hebrews proclaims: “The Son is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of His nature.” We stand in awe, Jesus. The transcendent God in time and space, the Alpha and Omega in our flesh and bones. May we listen to every word you have to say to us today, because every word is God’s. Amen.”
