Reading God’s Word: Acts 17:22-18:11; Psalm 109:1-15
Memorizing God’s Word: Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
Meditating on God’s Word: Acts 17:26-27 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.
Praying God’s Word: Lord, what an incredible passage about the all-powerful, all-knowing, all-sovereign King of Heaven! You’ve determined the who, the where, and the when of all mankind. But more than that, You’ve determined the why, so that we could seek, reach, and find the One who gives us our breath. It’s a truth too great for words! Because you could have stayed far off and distant, enthroned in Heaven but unconcerned with Your creation below. But You didn’t. You came near. And no matter how far we run or how estranged we feel, this promise remains constant: You are not far from any one of us. Hallelujah! Amen.”
