Reading God’s Word: Mark 1:29-39; Psalm 73:1-14
Memorizing God’s Word: Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
Meditating on God’s Word: Mark 1:38 Jesus replied, “Let us go somewhere else—to the nearby villages—so I can preach there also. That is why I have come.”
Praying God’s Word: Dear Jesus, In this verse you explain to your disciples that they need to go beyond their home town (Capernaum) and into the surrounding towns. In Capernaum the people were mostly interested in miracles. Jesus you wanted to teach that you primarily came into our world to proclaim God’s Good News. Lord, may I not be looking for how you can satisfy me; but how I can tell my neighbors, co-worker, family, friends about your provision of forgiveness and restoration. Amen.
