Reading God’s Word: Catch-up Day; Psalm 74
Previewing Ezra: https://bibleproject.com/explore/video/ezra-nehemiah/
Memorizing God’s Word: John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalms 74:1-2 “O God, why have you rejected us so long? Why is your anger so intense against the sheep of your own pasture? Remember that we are the people you chose long ago, the tribe you redeemed as your own special possession! And remember Jerusalem, your home here on earth.”
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, on days when I’m depressed, when I wonder why you’re not answering my prayers, or if you even hear them at all, help me to come to you. Like the Psalmist crying out in his distress, it was the distance he felt that drew him near. May you be the first place I go when I feel you are far away. Remember your people, O Lord! And help your people to remember their God. You never forget your children. You are sovereign in my suffering, trustworthy in my trails. And always, always good. If I don’t see your provision, I’ll rest in your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
