Reading God’s Word: Luke 12:1-13:9; Proverbs 22:17-29
Memorizing God’s Word: Luke 16:13 No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
Meditating on God’s Word: Proverbs 22:17 ESV Incline your ear, and hear the words of the wise, and apply your heart to my knowledge.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, in this short verse you have given three action steps for us to follow and apply to our lives; incline, hear, and apply. Oh, would I heed these wise words. Would I incline my ear and humble myself before you, admitting my lack of understanding. Would I be tuned in to hear the words of the wise, turning deaf ear to self-talk. Would I apply my heart to knowledge with an eagerness to listen and learn. Amen.”
