Reading God’s Word: Jeremiah 16-17; Psalm 14

Memorizing God’s Word:  Philippians 4:6-7Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Meditating on God’s Word:  Jeremiah 17:7-8 But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him.  They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.  It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.  It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.

Praying God’s Word: Lord, after reading about how Your anger has been kindled against Judah for following other gods and the stubbornness of their evil hearts instead of obeying, Jeremiah contrasts that with today’s meditation verses. Lord, thank You for all the blessings and confidence which You provide when we trust in You.
