Reading God’s Word: Jeremiah 44-45; Psalm 30

Memorizing God’s Word: Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 30:11-12You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent. Lord my God, I will praise you forever.

Praying God’s Word “Lord, reveal to me the idols I have allowed to take up residence in my heart. Forgive me for the times I’ve placed something else on the throne of my heart. Like Israel, I am so prone to idolatry. Forgive me for my sin! May I praise YOU and you alone forever! Amen.”
