Helping Hands Crew – Benevolence Ministry
Purpose
We’re forming a Helping Hands Crew to support our Benevolence Ministry when practical, hands-on needs arise.
Instead of just meeting a financial need, sometimes the best way we can help is by rolling up our sleeves and doing the work together.
It’s one thing to give someone money and send them on their way. It’s “loving your neighbor” to physically walk with them in their need.
How the Helping Hands Crew Works
If you’ve joined the crew, as needs arise, we’ll send out calls for help. You can jump in when and where your skills and availability fit.
Are you that Helping Hand?
We’re looking for people who can help with things like:
- • Moving or cleaning projects
• Mowing lawns or doing yard work
• Home repairs and general work
• Plumbing and electrical work
• Helping us find or purchase reliable used cars
• Vehicle repairs and assistance
…And whatever other hands-on needs God puts in front of us
We want to see people experience the abundant life Jesus promised. Sometimes that starts with simply showing up and meeting people where they’re at.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others…” 1 Peter 4:10
