Reading God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 12:12-13:7; Psalms 128

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

Meditating on God’s Word: I Corinthians 13:4-7, Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, these verses about love need to be read slowly, deliberately and with conviction. If we are becoming like Christ, and if we want to glorify Him in our lives, then it is time to pause and consider who we are not loving well. We can love others because You are the source of love. Our love for others is a response to the love You have for us (I John 4:19) Christ in us the hope of glory (and love)! (Colossians 1:27) Amen.”
