Reading God’s Word: Job 1-2; Psalm 101
Memorizing God’s Word: Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Meditating on God’s Word: Job 1:21 “The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, Job’s response is incredible. It is amazing enough that Job accepted tragedy upon tragedy with a humble heart, but to then praise you shows what kind of relationship he had with you. He understood your sovereignty but he also walked in intimate relationship with you. He trusted you because he knew you. He praised you because you were truly his everything. Lord, help us to move way beyond praising you for what you give us and what you do for us and to praise you out of hearts that know you so intimately and delight in you so deeply that literally nothing in this world can affect our relationship with you. Amen.”
