Reading God’s Word: Hebrews 10:19-39; Psalm 128
Memorizing God’s Word: For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 128:1 (LSB)How blessed is everyone who fears Yahweh, Who walks in His ways.
Praying God’s Word: “Father, we are reminded in our meditation today of the blessedness of those who fear You and walk in Your ways. Far from viewing obedience to Your word as a burden, the psalmist points out the many blessings available to those who, out of love, follow You. And that is the key, love. If we love You as we should, obedience becomes a joy, as it is our greatest desire to bring joy to your heart. So help us to fear and love you, so that we may walk in Your ways, so that we may experience the many blessings You have for us. Amen.”
