Reading God’s Word:  Acts 28:1-22; Psalm 119:1-8

Memorizing God’s Word:  Romans 5:8, But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Meditating on God’s Word:  Acts 28:15 And (Christian) brothers from Rome, when they heard about us, came as far as the Forum of Appius and Three Taverns to meet us. On seeing them, Paul thanked God and took courage. 

Praying God’s Word:  The Forum of Appius is a halting station on the Roman Via Appia Road, 43 miles from Rome.  Three Taverns is 33 miles from Rome.  Paul’s thanking God upon seeing them shows his deep trust in God’s providence and his recognition of the support and encouragement from his fellow Christians.  These believers WALKED miles. Lord, convict me when I am not willing to visit an ill/discouraged brother.  Or even call/text a fellow believer to build them up.  Help me to act when your Holy Spirit prompts me.
