Reading God’s Word: Luke 6:12-36; Psalm 51:11-19
Memorizing God’s Word: Luke 4:18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free”
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 51:17 “My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.”
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, break my heart with the things that break your heart. Show me my sin; my self-centeredness. And then give me the grace to own it and confess it to you; to come to you broken and contrite, humble and in desperate need for your lifegiving Spirit to be breathed into my heart and life. You will not forsake the ones who seek your face. Your face I seek O Lord. Amen.”
