Reading God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 5-6; Psalm 60
Memorizing God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Meditating on God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, thank you for giving me my body. Help me to remember that it is you who has given me this body and it is so that I may honor and bring glory to your name through it. We live in a culture that goes from one extreme to another, either despising our body or worshipping it. Teach me to be a good steward of the body you have given me. Lord Jesus, thank you for shedding your blood on the cross to redeem me. Holy Spirit, breathe your life into me, into this body, that I may honor you in all I do. Amen.”
