Reading God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 8:1-9:14; Psalms 123

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 10:13; No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

Meditating on God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 8:6; yet for us there is only one God, the Father, from whom are all things, and we exist for Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we exist through Him.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, we may not have idols that were prevalent during biblical times, but we still have things, or people, which draw our attention away from you. Is there anything in my life more important than you? Do I really believe that I exist ‘for Him and through Him?’ If “yes,” how is this evident in my daily life? If “no,” what needs to change? My eyes look to you, Lord. Search me and help me know my heart (Psalm 139:23-24) so I may follow your everlasting way. Amen.”
