Reading God’s Word: John 1:19-28; Psalm 33
Memorizing God’s Word: John 1:12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
Meditating on God’s Word: John 1:22 Finally they said, “Who are you? Give us an answer to take back to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, when I am asked, “Who are you?” how do I typically respond? Too often, like others, I am quick to define myself by what the world sees; my roles, my accomplishments, my relationships. “I am a wife, a mother, a teacher.” Yet, these are only a miniscule part of who I am. Above all, I am Your child. Deeply loved, chosen, and forgiven. Created by You to declare Your name, make You known, and to “make straight the way of the Lord” in the world around me. Help me live in a way that brings truth, hope, and love wherever I go. Let my identity be rooted in You alone, and let my life reflect that truth in every word and action. Amen.”
