Meditating on God’s Word: John 6:66 (LSB) As a result of this many of His disciples went away and were not walking with Him anymore.

Praying God’s Word: “Father, we are introduced to the cost of following you in today’s meditation. Many will follow you when everything is going their way, and they hear what they want to hear. But then the going gets tough, the price gets high, and as a result, they turn away. Following Christ will cost us everything, and those who do not wish to pay that price may stay for a time, but will ultimately walk away. Please help us to be among those who remain faithful despite the trials and troubles that come our way. May we be like the faithful eleven disciples who stayed true to the end. Amen.”
