Memorizing God’s Word: Mark 8:34, Then he called the crowd to him along with his disciples and said: If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.

Meditating on God’s Word: Mark 8:17b-18, Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened? Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don’t you remember?

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, if you could talk to me directly I wonder how many times you would say, ‘Do you still not see or understand? Don’t you remember?’ And I would respond, ‘Sometimes, but not always. Lord, I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!’ (Mark 9:24) And you would help me. My history with you reminds me of your faithfulness. My understanding increases, with you as my strong and firm foundation. Yes, I do remember! Amen.”
