Reading God’s Word: Galatians 1-2; Psalm 78

Memorizing God’s Word: Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Meditating on God’s Word: Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, zero me. All you. I don’t want to read these words. I don’t want to have Galatians 2:20 be my Instagram post, a bumper sticker or a bracelet I wear. I don’t want this to be something I quote or recite. I do not want one moment of my day today to be breathed by me. Only YOU. I do NOT live. You do. Period. YOU are the one who is alive in me. YOU are the one who is allowed to speak through me. YOU are the one who dictates my steps and my thoughts and my courage and my call. Today, now, I no longer live. Christ…Jesus…lives in me. Have your way. Amen.”
