Reading God’s Word:  1 Corinthians 11:23-12:11; Psalms 127

Memorizing God’s Word: 1 Corinthians 10:13, No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

Meditating on God’s Word: I Corinthians 11:26, For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes. Praying God’s Word: “Lord, the next time I receive communion may I be in a mental posture of humility and gratitude. It is a somber moment of reflection and examination, remembering your death upon the cross. It is a unifying moment with our brothers and sisters. Regardless of any differences we may have, this we can agree: ‘Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day’ (I Corinthians 15:3-4). May we together echo Paul’s words with humility: ‘by the grace of God I am what I am’ (15:10) Amen.”
