Reading God’s Word: 2 Thessalonians 2:13-3:18, Psalm 106

Memorizing God’s Word: Luke 8:18 Therefore consider carefully how you listen. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they think they have will be taken from them.”

Meditating on God’s Word: 2 Thessalonians 2:15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, we live in a world where truth is what each individual perceives it to be.  We are told that all our opinions are valid and that we should live out our own reality.  This is pure deception though. It is the secret power of lawlessness, talked about in our reading today.  It’s on the rise in our nation and has started to take root in some people’s minds.  Help me to stand firm and hold fast to the teachings in your Word. I pray they will be securely fixed in my heart and mind and dwell in me richly. For you and your Word are absolute truth which keep me on paths of righteousness. Amen.”
