Praying God’s Word: Lord, on this Black Friday, may this not be true of your Church. May we not start this holiday season putting aside the truth in order to prioritize material things. May we prepare our hearts to celebrate and honor the gift that You have given through Your Son, Jesus. May we look ahead to Christmas and ask ourselves how we can lead our families closer to You, our friends, and our neighbors this advent season. Lord, draw our hearts back to You. Amen.
