Reading God’s Word: Zephaniah 2-3; Psalm 117

Memorizing God’s Word: 2 Corinthians 9:6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

Meditating on God’s Word: Zephaniah 3:17 (ESV) The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.

Praying God’s Word: “Gracious and singing God, even in a book full of warning and judgement, still, you are tender toward your people. It’s not always easy to believe. Sometimes we can imagine a God that loves us without liking us. And certainly, He couldn’t take joy in us. But that is not who you are! You are the God who REJOICES over your people, quiets fear with your love, and “loudly” sings the songs of a Father over us. You never abandon us, and you are mighty to save all who look to you and trust in you! Hallelujah!”
