Reading God’s Word: Matthew 20:29-21:11; Psalm 47
Memorizing God’s Word: Hebrews 4:16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 20:34 (LSB) And moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and immediately they regained their sight and followed Him.
Praying God’s Word: “Father, one of the prominent characteristics of Your Son when He walked among us was his compassion on others. Even when He was taken advantage of, and even when the motives of those He helped were selfish, He still exhibited compassion. Are we compassionate people as well? Is it possible we have lost a sense of compassion, often looking down on those in trouble with a judgmental eye? Help us to be compassionate people, reaching out to those in trouble, even as our Lord Jesus Christ did. Amen.”
