Reading God’s Word: Mark 15:1-21; Psalm 43

Memorizing God’s Word: Ephesians 3:17b-18 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 43:3 “Send me your light and your  faithful  care,

let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord Jesus, this is the kind of psalm you would have meditated on through the hours of your unjust arrest, imprisonment and trial. It is evident by the way you carried yourself that the Father sent His light and faithful care to lead you through those dark hours.  The joy set before you was that you would redeem mankind but also, you looked forward to returning to the Father and being on the heavenly holy mountain where He dwells.  33 years “apart” must have felt like eternity.  Yet, for us, you gladly gave up all so we could enjoy what you so loved – intimacy and union with the Father.  Thank you, Jesus, Amen.”
