Meditating on God’s Word: Numbers 1:16 These were the men appointed from the community, the leaders of their ancestral tribes. They were the heads of the clans of Israel.

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, what a privilege to be appointed a leader. Of a tribe. Of a clan. Of a community. Of a people. God, we lay down our fathers and mothers today. We lay down our leaders. We lay down the young men and women who will lead us in the future. We lay them at your feet. Trusting that you will lift them up in your way and in your time. We lay them there that they we may be a people counted as trusting YOU to lead them as THEY lead us.  Amen.”
