Reading God’s Word: Matthew 9:9-17; Psalm 20
Memorizing God’s Word: Psalm 19:14May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 20:7-8 Some trust in chariots and horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, the temptation to trust in our military, or government programs, or social agencies to help us is constant. Help me to remember that You are my protector, sustainer, and strength. All these other institutions are merely tools or resources that You may, or may not use to meet my needs and protect me. I choose to trust You, Lord. Amen.”
