Praying God’s Word: “Lord, what is it that I’m secretly longing for today? What have I set my heart on? What am I desperate for? Oh God, that I would long for you like I long for a cool drink on a hot day! Deepen my affection for, my God. Show me more deeply my desperate need of you, and then come and fill that need with your love! Amen.”
