Reading God’s Word: Jeremiah 36; Psalm 26

Memorizing God’s Word: Jeremiah 29:11-12 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

Meditating on God’s Word: Jeremiah 36:23 Whenever Jehudi had read three or four columns of the scroll, the king cut them off with a scribe’s knife and threw them into the firepot, until the entire scroll was burned in the fire.”

Praying God’s Word: “Lord, this verse reminds me of what Isaiah the prophet wrote: “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.” King Jehoiakim burned the Word of God in the fire and tried to silence it by destroying it but failed because your Word endures forever. Today, many people are trying to ignore, re-interpret, silence and destroy the Word of God but they will fail because the Word of the Lord endures forever. May we not be people who ignore or neglect the Word of God in our life. May we cherish your Word, listen to your Word and obey your Word. Amen.”
