Reading God’s Word: Exodus 17:8-18:27; Psalm 41

Memorizing God’s Word: Psalm 40:4 Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.

Meditating on God’s Word: Exodus 17:15 Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner.

Praying God’s Word: “Yahweh-Nissi, the Lord is my Banner. What a powerful name we can declare of you, Lord! A banner is what you raise in victory. It’s what is lifted high to proclaim triumph. And even after a great battle where the Israelites fought, and Joshua commanded the men, and Moses prayed over the people, it was the Lord, Yahweh-Nissi, that gave the victory! A banner was a rallying point, an identity, lifted up so everyone could see. May it be so with Christ in our lives. In a very real way, as he was lifted up on the cross, he declared victory once and for all. Jesus, be the banner that we raise today! We go in your name, amen.”
