Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I’m reminded in my reading this morning that You are the rightful ruler of humankind. Our earthly rulers cannot bear the weight of governing perfectly, and neither can I! Even in my own life, my influence is so easily squandered. I need You! I need You to be the ruler of my life, my Savior and my Lord. Because You are then only Wonderful Counselor, You are the God who is mighty to save, You are the leader and comforter who will last forever, and You are the One who will bring peace to my life and my world. Amen.”
