Reading God’s Word: Acts 8:1-9:31; Psalm 29

Memorizing God’s Word: Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Meditating on God’s Word: Acts 8:1b On that day a great persecution broke out against the church in Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.

Praying God’s Word: Lord, again we see Your Word fulfilled. They apostles witnessed to Jerusalem, then the church was driven out, to which they began to witness in Judea and Samaria. The persecution was difficult, but You used it to further Your Kingdom. May these words encourage us to move forward in ministry when we are cast out by those of this world, Amen.
