Reading God’s Word: 2 Kings 21; Psalm 30
Memorizing God’s Word: Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Meditating on God’s Word: Psalm 30:11-12 (NLT) You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever!
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, in life it is impossible to escape mourning. We mourn the death of loved ones. We mourn for the innocent lives that are taken by acts of violence. We mourn over test results that may be terminal. But even in the midst of our mourning, and even in our grief and loss, you have replaced it with joy and gladness. Because of your great love for us, you have kept your promises and remained faithful. Out of our gratitude for that, we can dance with thankful hearts and lift our arms up in continual praise for all that you’ve done and all that you are. Amen.”
