Reading God’s Word: Matthew 27:62-66; Psalm 70
Memorizing God’s Word: Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
Meditating on God’s Word: Matthew 27:65 “Take a guard,” Pilate answered. “Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how.”
Praying God’s Word: “Lord, I am struck by the phrase “as secure as you know how” in this verse. Rome was the strongest, most advanced, most knowledgeable nation on earth at the time. They had a lot of “know how.” But NOTHING could have secured the tomb against the supernatural power of the resurrection! Death could not hold you back, let alone some stone, seal and guards! You triumphed over death and the grave! You triumphed over our sin! You triumphed over all the powers of Hell itself! Hallelujah Jesus! Amen.”
